Bob Whitesel

Bob Whitesel (D.Min., Ph.D.) is a sought after speaker, church health consultant/coach and award-winning writer of 14 books on church leadership, health and growth, who has been called by a national magazine: "the key spokesperson on change theory in the church today.” He holds two earned doctorates from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA where he was awarded the "Donald McGavran Award" for outstanding scholarship in church growth.” He received another "Donald McGavran Award" from the Great Commission Research Network for his leadership in church growth. He was founding professor and former professor of missional leadership for Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University and formerly one of the first invited "Fellows" of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism at Wheaton College, IL.

His 14 nationally-published books include “ORGANIX: Signs of leadership in a Changing Church” (2011) which describes leadership changes churches must embrace to grow in the 21st century. “Cure for the Common Church” (2013) is a popular book that shows churches how to change in the four areas that lead to health. “The Healthy Church” (2014), offers leadership exercises for maintaining church health. A respected author on multiracial issues, his book from Abingdon Press, “reMIX: Transitioning Your Church Living Color (2016)" helps organizations become multi-cultural and is cowritten with Mark DeYmaz. His popular devotional is a 30-day discovery guide to the "methods" of John, Charles and Susanna Wesley and is titled, "Enthusiast.life." And, he tackles contemporary issues from a biblical basis and with practical applications in his book, "Growing the Post-pandemic Church" (2020), which is a part of the "Leadership.church Guide" series.
