Jaime Fowler

Although his mother was hoping for a nuclear physicist, Jaime Fowler is an award winning editor and author of five books on post-production and visual effects about Avid, Final Cut, Sapphire, color correction and the process of editing from film to digital. He has consulted and spoken at conferences including Sundance and DV Expo. Jaime has worked as a post production consultant for several films and situation comedies from Warner Bros., Paramount and Universal. He was instrumental in the development of Avid's multicamera software, for which he and the development team won an Emmy in 1995 (he has edited 5 Emmy-winning television programs as well).

Jaime's editing credits include "The Abyss: Special Edition", "Under Pressure: Making The Abyss" for James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. He also edited many trailers, featurettes and EPKs for Warner Bros, Tri Star and other companies. Jaime was credited as editor on the television series "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune" for many years. He became a voting national member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1986.

Jaime is currently professor of Digital Video and Film Production at The Art Institute of Dallas. He recently completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art and Technology.
