Born in Indianapolis, IN. Attended Butler Un.; McCormick Theological Seminary; United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH--D.Min.)

Married with five grown children. Served churches in ND,WV,OH, & NY.

Grew up loving films, and used them in all of my churches. Have written for Catholic and Protestant publications since 1977, including Marriage & Family Living, Religion Teacher's Journal, Mass Media Newsletter, Presbyterians Today, LectionAid, and Lectionary Homiletics.

Currently lives in Bellbrook, OH, between Dayton & Cincinnati. Reviewed films for 2 weekly newspapers, The Dayton Voice and The Delaware County Times.

Featured as speaker/workshop leader at seminaries, conferences, churches from Canada and Maine to California.

Edits Visual Parables, a monthly on-line publication dedicated to helping church & peacemaking groups explore and use film.
