Teri Quick

Teri Quick has taught developmental reading at Metropolitain Community College in Omaha, Nebraska for over 30 years. She started out as a first grade teacher, and wanted to find out more about how the reading process works. After obtaining a Master's Degree in Reading, she became a reading specialist, and then began her community college teaching career at MCC. She and two of her colleagues wanted a textbook that would simply and clearly teach basic reading strategies, and then have students practice those strategies on current reading materials of interest to them, so they wrote Making Reading Relevant:The Art of Connecting.
