Writing under the name Jenna Holst, Jenna is the author of Stews -- 200 Earthy, Delicious Recipes, Cooking Soups for Dummies and Cooking with Spices for Dummies. She wrote a weekly column for the Friday Arts Section of South Africa’s newspaper, This Day. Her food and travel articles have appeared in numerous local and international newspapers and magazines including The Christian Science Monitor, Food and Home, and Food and Wine. Online articles and stories were published, inter alia, by Psychology Today and Connotation Press.
Jenna has travelled widely. A native of New England, she also lived in South Africa for over fifteen years before returning home to Florida.
A graduate in languages and literature from Bard College in New York, Jenna has a professional chef’s diploma as well as a degree in animal behavior. For fun, Jenna competes on the Master’s level in dog agility with her three Welsh Terriers.
