Donna Walker Tileston

Donna Walker Tileston, EdD, has experience in teaching, administration, research, writing, software development, and consulting. Her administrative service includes curriculum development, management, technology, finance, grants management, public relations, and drug abuse prevention programs. A brain researcher, her interests include the factors that inhibit learning or increase the brain’s ability to put information into long-term memory.

An accomplished author, Dr. Walker Tileston wrote the best-selling series What Every Teacher Should Know, which won the Association of Educational Publisher’s Distinguished Achievement Award in 2005. The What Every Teacher Should Know series is offered for graduate-level credits at California State University and Hamline University; many of her courses are offered for alternative certification in various states.

Dr. Walker Tileston has presented at international, national, and state conferences to thousands of educators and has presented her research in Warsaw and The Hague. She is the author of Closing the RTI Gap and a coauthor of Why Culture Counts. Her work can be further explored at solution-tree.com
