Harry Sidebottom

Dr Harry Sidebottom is Lecturer in Ancient History at Lincoln College, Oxford. He is the author of Those Who Are About To Die: A Day in the Life of a Roman Gladiator (a Book of the Year in The Economist, and The Times, London), and The Mad Emperor: Heliogabalus and the Decadence of Rome (a BBC History, Financial Times, and Spectator Book of the Year). He is also the author of fifteen historical novels, including the Warrior of Rome series, and the Throne of the Caesars trilogy. His work has been translated into eighteen languages.
