Peter B. Orlik

Peter B. Orlik is director and professor in the School of Broadcast & Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University. In addition to his academic career, he has worked in the media industry as advertising agency copywriter, radio announcer and programmer, and television creative services executive. He received the Distinguished Education Service Award (DESA) from the Broadcast Education Association in 2001 (that organization's highest honor) and was inducted into the Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2003. Orlik has served on the BEA board of directors and, since 1992, has directed that organization's annual scholarship competition. He earned the B.A. with distinction, M.A. and Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Wayne State University
