Marcel Gagné

Marcel (Writer and Free Thinker at Large) Gagné is just this guy . . . you know. He's an award-winning author and the guy responsible for the "Moving to Linux" series of books.

He has been a regular columnist for LinuxPro Magazine, Ubuntu User, Linux Journal, SysAdmin, and others. He's an occasional public speaker, radio and television personality, and a well known voice in the Linux and open source universe where he created the famous (perhaps infamous) Cooking With Linux which ran for ten years in the Linux Journal. You can hear him monthly on the Computer America radio show.

Armed with an insatiable thirst for knowledge with a completely unrealistic desire to know everything, science and technology are his passions; as such you'll find him unreasonably dedicated to the pursuit of reason (in case you have to ask what 'Free Thinker at Large' means). Oh, and he's terribly opinionated. Other passions include music, art, food, wine, and the occasional single malt scotch.

Marcel takes great pleasure in making fun of your belief system and sincerely hopes you enjoy making fun of his as well.

Marcel is also a published science fiction author and editor, a onetime Editor in Chief, a pilot, a former Top 40 disc jockey, and he folds a mean origami T-Rex.
