Victoria Roberts was born in New York City and grew up in Mexico City and Sydney, Australia.
She has been a contract cartoonist for The New Yorker for twenty-five years. She is also the illustrator of The New York Times weekly science question. Her first cartoon strip, "My Sunday", ran in Nation Review (Australia) when she was nineteen, Literary Review (U.K.), Uno Más Uno (Mexico), and Vrij Nederland (Holland). Victoria lives in New York City. She has written/illustrated over twenty books. Her first novel "After the Fall" about a family who live in a New York penthouse lose everything and wake up to find they are living in Central Park is published by W.W. Norton.
