J. Patrick Reilly

J. Patrick Reilly was born in Detroit Michigan. He retired after a 50-year scientific research career at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He has published several books on bioelectricity, and remains a consulting expert in that field. He was elected Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) in 1998 “for furthering the state of knowledge concerning human reactions to electric current and electromagnetic fields, with applications to medical devices, human hazards, and safety standards.” He directs the musical quartet JPJazz, and co directs A Band For All Seasons – a big band that performs swing, jazz, and music for ballroom dancing. He and his wife Lyn have three children, and three grandchildren.
