Andrew Harding

ANDREW HARDING (b. 1950) is a leading scholar in comparative constitutional law and Asian legal studies. Currently he is a Visiting Research Professor at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies(CALS), Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore (NUS), and is also a Visiting Professor in Law at the University of Hong Kong and Senior Faculty Adviser at Thammasat University in Thailand.

Andrew was born the United Kingdom and has held teaching positions at NUS, SOAS University of London, and the University of Victoria, BC, Canada. He has held major academic posts as Head of the Law School at SOAS, founding Director of CALS, and Director of the Asian Law Institute. He has authored or edited more than 20 academic books, and has more than 170 academic publications altogether. He is also co-founding editor of the Hart/ Bloomsbury book series, Constitutional systems of the World, which has covered more than 30 countries.

The Agnes is his first book of fiction. His abiding interests are travelling, classical music, and cricket. Andrew lives with his partner, Sam, and three dogs, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
