Alessandra Mattanza, writer and fine art photographer, is originally from in Italy but has grown up and lived abroad for more than twenty years, mostly in Munich, Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. She works for Hearst Publishing, Mondadori, Sperling & Kupfer, Condé Nast, Cairo Editore, White Star/National Geographic/De Agostini, Giunti/Feltrinelli, Financial Times, Forbes, Rizzoli, and TV Studio Universal/Universal Pictures. She writes novels, screenplays, murder mysteries and comics (with pennames), coffee table books, and tourist guides, focusing her attention on the great cities of the world, cinema and music, animals and nature. She has won several awards at the Annual Southern California Journalism Awards and at the SoCal Journalism Awards in Los Angeles. Among her books are bestsellers like Australia: The New Frontier, My New York: Famous New Yorkers Talk About the Big Apple, My Paris: Celebrities Talk About the Ville Lumière, and Street Art: Famous Artists Talk About Their Vision.
