Adriana Lisboa

Brazilian writer Adriana Lisboa was born in Rio de Janeiro. Her literary work, which includes novels, poetry, short stories, and books for children, has been published in thirteen countries. Among other awards, she won the prestigious José Saramago Prize in 2003 for "Sinfonia em branco" ("Symphony in White"), a novel that was also a finalist for the PEN Center USA Literary Award in Translation and the Prix des Lectrices de "Elle" in France. In 2007 she was listed by Hay festival/Bogota World Book Capital as one of the best Latin American authors under 39. Her latest book translated into English is the novel "Crow Blue" (Bloomsbury, 2013). Adriana Lisboa currently resides in the United States, near Boulder, Colorado.
