Aaron Hoopes

Aaron Hoopes is a long time student of the martial arts, tai chi, qigong, Shanti yoga and shiatsu massage. The combination of these led to his book Perfecting Ourselves: Coordinating Body, Mind and Spirit. He went on to create Zen Yoga, a wonderful practice of breathing, gentle movement and deep stretching.

Nearly 4 years in Japan, studying various arts including bonsai, ikebana, karate, shiatsu.

Spent 9 years in Australia working as a tour guide for the Japanese Travel Bureau and studying Shanti yoga, Kung Fu and massage therapy.

He created the Zen Mountain Healing Center and immersed himself in permaculture and land stewardship.

His new book, Reconnecting to the Earth: Reclaiming our Relationship to Nature and Ourselves, reminds us of some valuable wisdom we weren't meant to forget. It's time to get a handle on ourselves so we can deal with the problems we've created.
