Jack Greer

Jack Greer first launched a rowboat into the Chesapeake Bay when he was about eight years old. It sank. Ever since, he's had a fascination with boats, the Bay, and the sea. For many years he worked at the University of Maryland Sea Grant program, writing about the marine environment. He's sailed with his wife from Annapolis, Maryland, to the Bahamas, the Turks & Caicos, the Dominican Republic and through the Lesser Antilles to Grenada. His first love is writing, and he's written numbers of articles, stories, and poems, including "America and Other Poems." His first collection of short stories is "Abraham's Bay & Other Stories," drawn from his adventures at sea. He's now hard at work on a novel set in the Chesapeake Bay region. Abraham's Bay is available both in hardcopy and as an e-book.
