Ralf Müller

Dr Ralf Müller is Professor of Project Management at BI Norwegian Business School and adjunct professor at a number of Universities worldwide. He lectures and researches in management and governance of projects and in research methodologies. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Project Management Journal.

He is the (co)author of more than 250 publications and received, among others, the 2016 PMI Fellow of the Institute Award, the 2015 PMI Research Award (a lifetime achievement award), the 2012 IPMA Research Award, the Project Management Journal's 2009 Paper of the Year Award, the 2009 IRNOP's Best Conference Paper Award, as well as several Emerald Literati Network Awards for outstanding journal papers and referee work.

He holds an MBA degree from Heriot Watt University and a DBA degree from Brunel University, both in the U.K. Before joining academia he spent 30 years in the industry consulting large enterprises and governments in 47 different countries for their project management and governance. He also held related line management positions, such as the Worldwide Director of Project Management at NCR Teradata.
