It's a mystery to me, but somehow I keep producing mystery novels. The fifth, EVIL IN RETURN, was released by Five Star Press in 2014. "Booklist", published by the American Library Association, recommends it as “an engaging tale for thriller and historical-mystery readers.” It's a bargain on Kindle for $3.19.
My writing career began with magazine fiction. I then wrote three books for young readers. My historical novel for pre-teens, THE EDGE OF TWO WORLDS, went to seven printings and earned the Lewis Carroll Shelf and the Western Heritage Awards. It was selected by both the School Library Journal and Book World as one of the best books of the year and was designated a notable book by the American Library Association.
A non-fiction book on computers was published in several languages, and my biography is included in Something About the Author, a reference series about prominent authors of juvenile and young adult literature.
For a few years, my day job in corporate communications consumed all my time and energy, but after I retired as vice president, public affairs for the Grumman Corporation I began to write mystery/thrillers: THE DOUBLOONER, BROKEN GLASS, THE UNEXPECTED and MESSAGES,all available on Amazon.
After graduating from Harvard I served as an enlisted man and a junior officer in the Navy. Now I live with my wife, Marilyn, in Santa Barbara, California. We're proud of our two daughters, each with her own professional career.
