Pascale Kramer was born in Geneva, travels frequently to Los Angeles where she began writing The Child, and currently lives and works in Paris. She has received numerous awards for her eleven novels including the Prix Shiller (Switzerland) and the Prix du Roman de la Société des gens de lettres (France).
