Diana Burrell's work has appeared in Parenting, Family Circle, Cook's Illustrated, Kiwi, The Boston Globe, The Atlantic's Food Section, Psychology Today, The Writer, Writers Digest, and dozens of other magazines, newspapers, and closed circulation publications. She is co-author with Linda Formichelli of The Renegade Writer: A Totally Unconventional Guide to Freelance Writing Success (3rd edition, 2017), a classic how-to manual for freelance magazine writers.
A graduate of Smith College, she lives in suburban Boston with her family and a naughty cat named Winston. When she's not writing books or teaching, she knits, travels, bakes, bikes, and reads for fun. Some of her favorite authors (fiction/nonfiction) include Elizabeth George, Erik Larsen, Katie Fforde, Agatha Christie, Viktor Frankl, Minette Walters, Mo Hayder, Laurie Colwin, and Jane Austen.
