Stephen O'Neill

Stephen O’Neill is Associate Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Maynooth University, Ireland with research interests in adaptations of Shakespeare especially in digital cultures. He is author of Shakespeare and YouTube (Bloomsbury 2014) and Staging Ireland: Representations in Shakespeare and Renaissance Drama (Four Courts, 2007) and has co-edited volumes on Shakespeare and media, as well as Shakespeare and the Irish Writer. He is also written articles on Hip Hop Shakespeare and a recent chapter on Coriolanus fan fiction in Shakespeare and Geek Culture. Current projects include co-editorship of the Arden Research Handbook to Shakespeare and Adaptation and a journal issue, “Shakespeare and Refuge”.
