F Patrick Butler has written three books and is currently writing his fourth on the culture of Spain. His previous books are: (1) Cavorting With Strangers: Paris. Cypress House 2007; (2) Business Research Sources: A Reference Navigator. McGraw-Hill, 1999; (3) The New Sovereigns. (Ch 3) Abdul Said, (Ed.) Prentice Hall 1975.
Dr. Butler received his Ph.D. from The American University, Washington, D.C. He has taught International Management courses in leading business schools including Georgetown University, University of Stockholm (Sweden), University of Innsbruck (Austria), University of Paderborn (Germany) and Monterrey Institute of Technology (Mexico). He was a former Fulbright Scholar at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania (1981 and 1983). He has lectured widely at a number of international institutions including the Leningrad International Management Institute, USSR and University of Gotland.
He was employeed as a White House staff member for V.P. Rockefeller; as a marketing engineer at Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, and was commissioned as a Naval Flight Officer, in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Butler has three daughters and six grandchildren and lives in Lugano, Switzerland and St. Petersburg, Florida.
