Marsha Heckman

Marsha Heckman is the author of “A Bride’s Planner,” her eighth book, five written just for brides.

Marsha Heckman has planned hundreds of weddings from Britain to Hawaii, and taught classes on how to be a wedding planner. Marsha’s “A Bride’s Book” was a best-seller for fifteen years; Amazon called it ‘…the hardest-working wedding planner on the market…’ Rizzoli & Welcome have just released Marsha’s new wedding planner and organizer, “A Bride’s Planner.” The updated and expanded wedding planner/organizer is a source of ideas, information and advice on wedding and reception music, vows, wedding cake, bridal flowers from “Bouquets, A Year of Flowers for the Bride,” honeymoon destinations, bridal showers, classic traditions and wedding themes. It is rich with marriage ceremony history and the origin of wedding customs world-wide from Heckman’s last book, “A Bride’s Book of Lists.”

Besides weddings, Marsha Heckman is an expert on flower arranging, floral sculpture, event planning and design. She was honored to be a guest florist at the White House, and personally created bouquets for Malia and Sasha Obama’s bedrooms. She was a featured speaker at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s “Art in Bloom,” and speaker and exhibitor at St. Mary’s Cathedral Annual “Festival of Flowers,” and “Bouquets to Art” at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. She regularly gives talks on flower arranging, floral sculpture, and wedding design and planning, and conceived of and exhibits at the annual Mill Valley Community Center’s Dia de los Muertos celebration. She is a certified Soul Collage instructor and an Airbnb Superhost in Mill Valley, California.
