Mike Tucker

Ronin (ret.), Mike Tucker is the author of 46 books. He made a pilgrimage to Viet Nam in the winter of 2024-25, completing 40 years of fieldwork and research on JUSTIFIED, his epic, thrilling work on the Liberation of Viet Nam in WWII. The only American counterterrorist who took down Al Qaeda inside Saudi Arabia, Mike Tucker freed slaves behind Burmese Army lines in December 1992, hunted with the Black Lahu tribe in Northern Thailand in 1992 and 1995, and did graduate-level work on Zapata and the Mexican Revolution in the late 1970s. His landmark work of history, RONIN, was vital to ending the Iraq War. A Marine veteran and the Visiting Scholar on counterterrorism at James Madison University in fall 2006, he is the only American writer since 1949 to lecture in China on the legendary guerrilla commander and revolutionary, General Huang Hua (1911-1943). Under fire with Spanish counterterrorists, he helped stop the fascist terrorist assault in Barcelona on May 24, 1981, ending the threat of a dictatorship returning to power in Spain.
