William Neumann

William "Billy" Neumann is a professional photographer 24/7/365. Any spare time leftover is totally devoted to telling the history and preserving the historic character of the Borough of Rutherford, NJ. So while photographing CEOs, celebrities and commercial real estate he constantly thinks about how to save the Dutch stone house on Meadow Rd or how to tell the story of the local architecture of Edgar I Williams.

He graduated from the Drew University Historic Preservation Certification Program and was a five time elected Chairman of Rutherford's Historic Preservation Commission. He has served on the boroughs Planning Commission, Downtown Partnership and originated the First Night Rutherford festival. He is a member of Bergen County's Historic Preservation Advisory Board and a Trustee on the Board of Directors for Paterson Habitat for Humanity. He is always available to speak about Rutherford history, historic preservation, photography and Habitat for Humanity.

Billy sleeps from April to November outside on his open air porch and is the third generation to live in his family's home. Even though he resides just few miles away from NYC, the garden he tends has continued to produce a harvest for over 130 yrs. Other interests include Public Radio, fireworks, railroads, bee keeping, Samba and pie (but not in that order)!

Please see his websites www.NeumannPhoto.com., www.RutherfordHistory.com., www.EdgarIWilliams.com and seek him out on FaceBook.
