Joe D. Guy

Joe Guy is an award-winning author and historian from McMinn County in Southeast Tennessee. He has published several books on local and regional history and law enforcement, and currently serves as McMinn County Sheriff and County Historian.

Joe is an avid hiker, backpacker, and outdoorsman along with his wife Stephanie, who acts as the photographer and chronicles many of their adventures on her blog "The Whiny Hiker". Since 1997, Joe's work has appeared in regional newspapers, books, and national publications including Backwoodsman Magazine.
