My name is Anna Paterson and I have tried to use my past experiences with anorexia and abuse to help other people in similar situations feel less alone.

My first book "Anorexic" is an autobiographical account of my 14 year struggle with anorexia. A documentary about my story called "Quietly Dying" was made and screened by the BBC.

"Diet of Despair" is a self-help book about eating disorders for sufferers and their families, which was Highly Commended by The Times Educational Supplement.

"Fit To Die" is a self-help guide about men and eating disorders.

"Running On Empty" is a novel for young people about eating disorders, which won The Times Educational Supplement Best Children’s Book Of The Year Award.

"Beating Eating Disorders Step By Step" is a self help book for recovery from eating disorders.

"Just Like Doris Day" is a novel for young people about bullying and escapism.
