Christine Thackeray

When I was in college, I couldn't decide on a major. I studied everything from music and oil painting to advanced mathematics and zoology. At the end of my fifth year, I looked at my classes and had enough credits to graduate in English. It was my one consistent love. That has never changed. Now that my children are mostly grown, writing has become something I can do to fill the empty corners of my day that takes me to other worlds and allows me to see heroes soar despite the odds. For me, it's like quilting with words.
