Robert A. Brown

In 1992, Bob ignored traditional advice and quit his day job to write. He and his wife sold their home, cars and most worldly goods and flew from sunny San Diego to dreary old Scotland. In a 300-year-old stone cottage in Cellardyke overlooking the roiling North Sea, Bob began typing his first of so far twenty-three books. It was cold, and truly dreary but inspiring.

After receiving a psychology doctorate in 1973, Bob's mission in life is to contribute to improving the lives of others through teaching and writing. Somehow, going to Scotlnad was part of it.

Now living in the Pacific Northwest, he has crafted books for people who want to be happy. well-informed, and productive in daily life, relationships, and their work, and to enjoy a sense of dignity and meaning. He writes what he knows and loves, how to live a satisying life, how organizations can improve, a bit about golf, and novels that dig deep into the reader's psyche.

In his mid-seventies, Bob spends his time interfering in his grandchildren's lives, marveling at their parent's patience and skills, thankful of his wife's continuing indulgences and hoping to push out another two or three good books before putting his feet up.

His books are not run-of-the-mill but designed to be thought provoking and make your life better in a delightful way.
