Stephen Burgess

Stephen Burgess is an Honorary Professor in the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities at Victoria University, Australia. His research interests include the use of digital technologies in small businesses and community based organisations (especially local sporting clubs). He has received a number of competitive research grants in these areas. He has completed numerous studies, including his PhD from Monash University, Australia, related to website features in small businesses and how website success is determined. He has published in leading information systems journals and authored/ edited three books and special editions of journals in topics related to the use of digital technologies by small business. He has been track chair at numerous international conferences in related areas.
