Cameron Conant

Cameron Conant is the author of "With or Without You" (Relevant Books, 2005) and "The Year I Got Everything I Wanted" (NavPress, 2007). A former newspaper reporter for The Grand Rapids Press and Holland Sentinel, Cameron has interviewed everyone from a former U.S. President to children at an elementary school science fair.

After graduating from Hillsdale College in 1999 with a degree in American Studies and a minor in Theater & Speech, Cameron moved to California where he worked for a group of private schools. In 2000, he married his longtime girlfriend, Sara (a pseudonym), and a year later, began writing for The Grand Rapids Press. In 2004, Sara filed for divorce, an experience Conant chronicles in his first book, "With or Without You," which he wrote shortly after taking a job with a publishing house.

Cameron's divorce, coupled with the frustrations of working a highly structured corporate job---a sure death sentence for an ENFP on the Myers-Briggs personality test---led him to leave his cubicle behind. After a three-month tour of Europe, Cameron returned to writing full-time, something he had done as a journalist prior to working in book publishing. Today, he contributes to several magazines, including RELEVANT, and is working on his third book now. A Michigan native, Cameron lives and writes in Nashville, Tenn., where he frequents a coffee shop called Fido. While there, he usually just stares out the window, thinking of all the things he should be doing.
