Catherine Maresca

Catherine Maresca has worked with children and adults in religious formation in Washington DC, using the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) since 1982. She has experience with children, training adults, research, writing, and developing resources for religious formation at the Center for Children and Theology, www.cctheo.org.

She was led to the work in a search for a Montessori-based religious education program for her own children. CGS greatly deepened her own spiritual life, brought her in contact with Christian denominations around the country, and led to the development of interfaith materials for children ages nine and up.
