Barry Flynn

Born in Belfast, I have been writing on Irish history and sport for more than two decades. I have worked as a sports broadcaster for BBC Radio Ulster since 2003, as well as RTÉ, Newstalk and Independent Network News in Dublin.

I have had five books published by The History Press – Political Football - the Life and Death of Belfast Celtic, the Little Book of Irish Boxing; the Little Book of Antrim and the Little Book of Armagh. My latest, the Little Book of Irish Football will be published on 6 February 2025.
