Christopher Irving

Christopher Irving is a comic book scholar and pulp writer in Richmond, Virginia. His past books on comics include Leaping Tall Buildings (with photographer Seth Kushner), The Blue Beetle Companion, Conversations: Michael Allred, and Dean Haspiel: The Early Years.

As a pulp writer, he is one of the story architects of the Eagle Force toy and media brand, and has written four pulp novellas starring secret agent The Cat--available individually as e-books, or collected in the paperback volume Toy Soldier.

He is a professor of comics and media at Virginia Commonwealth University's Communication Arts department.
