Steven K. O'Hern served thirty years in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve including an initial nine years of active duty and a deployment to Iraq in 2005 as the Director of the Strategic Counterintelligence Directorate. His first book, The Intelligence Wars: Lessons From Baghdad (Prometheus Books, 2008) was based on his experiences in Iraq and as a military counterintelligence officer.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard: The Threat That Grows While America Sleeps (Potomac Books, 2012) grew out of his experience directing operations against the Revolutionary Guard and years of research.
O'Hern lives in Overland Park, Kansas where he is an attorney.
