Robert L. Hirsch

Dr. Robert Hirsch is a viral immunologist. He was born in Boston, and raised in Framingham, MA. After graduating with a BA from Brandeis, he went to Georgetown University in DC where he earned his PhD in immunology. During his career he studied the importance of many aspects of the immune system in recovery from viral infections. After his academic career at The Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland Schools of Medicine, he went on to the biopharmaceutical industry where he helped develop important biological products for the immune system and for the prevention and treatment of virus infections. Dr. Hirsch now uses his life experiences to pen medical thrillers and other works. He now lives in Rhode Island.
