Irene Oh, PhD, is a professor and chair of religion at the George Washington University. She has published on a wide array of topics at the intersection of religion, ethics, and politics: human rights, Islam, motherhood, and more. Irene serves as co-editor in chief of the Journal of Religious Ethics and has served in leadership positions for the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Christian Ethics, and the Society for the Study of Muslim Ethics. She holds degrees from the University of Virginia, the University of Chicago Divinity School, and Swarthmore College. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, she currently lives in Washington, DC, with her husband, children, and a shih tzu.
