Michael X. Ferraro

Michael X. Ferraro is a TV writer/producer who's been paid to come up with nicknames for Shaquille O'Neal, to create silly games for Kevin Hart, pranks for the likes of Howie Mandel, John Cena and Joe Rogan(!), to work in the host tower of "American Ninja Warrior," and to write sports rants for Dennis Miller, among other, much crappier gigs.

His first novel, CIRCUS CATCH (Vanilla Thunder Press), is a hard-hitting satire set in the world of professional football which dares to ask the question-- is cheating America's #1 tradition? It will make you laugh, make you think, and if you're a football fan from Cleveland, it will probably make you cry.

Ferraro is also the co-author of NUMBELIEVABLE: The Dramatic Stories Behind the Most Memorable Numbers in Sports History (Triumph Books). Perhaps most importantly, if you are a baseball poetry fan (and WHO'S NOT?!) -- he also published the chapbook, TASED & AMUSED: The Shocking Poetic Recap of the 2010 MLB Season, and is a regular contributor the world's preeminent baseball poetry website, bardball.com.

Ferraro has written for all the major networks, created a TV pilot for Nick at Nite, and contributed to publications including The Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Weekly World News and Written By magazine. He earned his B.S. in Film & Television at Boston University, and received an MFA in Creative Writing from Augsburg University in Minneapolis.

He grew up in the Philadelphia area, but is currently debased in Los Angeles. At present, he is working on a children's picture book about the messiest day ever, and a love-triangle novel where a man's girlfriend leaves him for a mythical creature.
