Jude has written six books. Her latest book is an anthology of short stories called In Our Crime. It follows close on the heels of her third action adventure thriller Sleep When You're Dead, which was a Financial Times' Best Book of last year. Sleep When You're Dead is the third in the Michael North series, which also includes Killing State and Curse the Day.

Lee Child has described Jude's writing as 'terrific' and David Baldacci as 'a sheer delight'.

Jude is a former political producer with BBC 2’s Newsnight and ITN’s Channel 4 News, and a former education correspondent with The Sunday Times where she also covered politics, undercover reporting and hard news.

She has published two memoirs. Wife in the North which was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week and serialised in the Sunday Times and the Daily Telegraph, and A Year of Doing Good. She is also an award winning short story writer.
