Sheryl Peterson

Sheryl Peterson grew up in the farming region of southern Minnesota. Now she lives "Up North" on the MN/Canadian border where long winters make good writing time. Sheryl was a elementary reading and writing teacher for many years before becoming a full-time writer.

She is the author of 22 non-fiction books for middle grade readers. The Egyptian Pyramids, Empire State Building, and dinosaurs are some of her subjects. Her twelve books on U.S. states received a starred review from Library Media Connection. She's also happy to announce that her first picture book will be out soon.
