Michael Robins is the author of five full-length collections, including The Bright Invisible (Saturnalia Books, 2022), People You May Know (2020), In Memory of Brilliance & Value (2015), Ladies & Gentlemen (2011), and The Next Settlement (2007), which received the Vassar Miller Prize in Poetry. He is also the author of the chapbooks Only Sunshine (Convulsive Editions, 2015), Little Felons (Strange Machine Books, 2013), and Circus (Flying Guillotine Press, 2009). Individual poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Best American Poetry 2022, Cimarron Review, Copper Nickel, Fine Print, The Laurel Review, and elsewhere.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Robins holds degrees from the University of Oregon and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he teaches in the MFA Program at McNeese State University and edits The McNeese Review.
