Romy Wyllie

Romy Wyllie started writing in her mid-sixties after her home survived a devastating wildfire that destroyed fifty percent of her neighborhood. Although Wyllie's book Loving Andrew: A Fifty-Two-Year Story of Down Syndrome (2012 CreateSpace) took eighteen years to reach publication, she has written two books on architecture: Caltech's Architectural Heritage: From Spanish Tile to Modern Stone (2000, Balcony Press, Los Angeles); and Bertram Goodhue: His Life and Residential Architecture (2007, W. W. Norton, New York and London). A monograph, Eva Maddox: Innovator, Designer, Educator (2017, Images Publishing Group, Australia) was released on November 30, 2017. In October, 2020, Wyllie published a prequel to Loving Andrew titled: From There to Here: War, Peace, Pandemic - A Memoir.
