Joe McHugh

Joe McHugh is a gifted storyteller and humorist in the tradition of Mark Twain and Will Rogers who has performed on stages across the United States and in Europe. He is also an award-winning public radio journalist/producer and author of nine books of fiction and non-fiction. He has presented keynote addresses at numerous national and regional conferences for educators, public health professionals, juvenile judges, librarians, and members of other non-profit organizations.

His latest book/audiobook project is a two-volume collection of classic story jokes titled “That’s Really Funny - A Storyteller’s Collection of His All-Time Favorite Jokes.”

He is host and producer of two popular podcast series: “The Telling Takes Us Home, a Celebration of American Family Stories”

and “Rosin the Bow, an Audio Journey Through the World of the Violin Family”

With his artist wife Paula McHugh, he co-owns Calling Crane Publishing
