I'm the author of six young adult novels, all published by Orca Book Publishers. My new novel, The Match Girl, will be out in Spring 2017.
My books include: the Bonemender fantasy series, two novels inspired by Irish mythology (The Warrior's Daughter and Shapeshifter), and most recently a ghost story named Redwing. Yes, I do seem to be inexplicably drawn to the magical, the mythical, and the just plain weird!
I'm also and editor and non-fiction writer, and worked for many years at Today's Parent magazine, especially on the "birth and babies" publications. I live in a smallish Ontario town with my husband and a lovely lab mix mutt, and years of reading aloud to our three boys (including The Lord of the Rings, THREE SEPARATE TIMES) encouraged my love of children's and YA fantasy. I love espresso coffee, being in the woods (preferably overlooking water), travelling, singing in a choir, kayaking, and playing Scrabble.
My website, www.hollybennett.ca, has more information about both me and my books.
