William A. Simmons

Bill Simmons was born in New Orleans, LA. The rich history and cultural diversity of the "Crescent City" made a deep and lasting impression on this author. The legends and tales of the Mississippi, the rich soil of the bayou and the spice of Cajun culture all combine to make Simmons an informed and entertaining writer. Life in the Pelican State has made Simmons a man of the land. He hunts, fishes, camps and holds deep respect for God's creation.

His story doesn't stop here, though. Years of studying and working abroad enhance his life experience and by extension his literary style. The histories and traditions of Europe and Great Britain help mold the interesting characters found throughout his work.

His admiration for common people and pursuit of the simple life is counterbalanced by an interesting twist. Bill is an academic who completed his PhD at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Here he specialized in New Testament Studies and Greek. As a life-long scholar, Bill makes his living as a professor in higher education and enjoys investing in some of the finest young people in the world.

His personal faith and belief in the power of well-framed words make for an emotionally compelling and inspiring storyline.

His hobbies include gardening, landscaping, birding, primitive archery and a variety of outdoor sports. He has recently developed a passion for archaeology and has gone on several extensive digs in the Holy Land.

He presently resides in Cleveland, TN with his wife, Lenae. His three adult children, David, Nathaniel and Laura have left the "nest" but remain in close contact with their parents.
