Deryn Warren grew up in Sedona, Arizona where her parents started the VERDE VALLEY SCHOOL high school to get kids of different races, religions and cultures to live together. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and when she was nineteen she took a year off from college and hitch hiked around the perimeter of Africa. When she was 24 she had another big adventure traveling up and down the Amazon. She now teaches acting classes in Los Angeles. She acted professionally in New York City, London and Los Angeles after studying with Michael Shurtleff who wrote the famous book, AUDITION. He wrote a chapter for her acting book. A graduate of the American Film Institute, Deryn has directed many shorts and three feature films which appeared on Showtime, HBO and were also shown around the world. Deryn Warren's thriller, "Black Magic Woman," was released under the Trimark label. In Los Angeles she directed prize winning plays including Angelica Huston in "A Garden Full of Snow." She is known for her ability to bring out exciting performances from actors.

She has taught professional actors for years at her own studio, and she coaches actors for auditions. Her acting classes are ongoing in Los Angeles.
