James Funk draws on extensive education and diverse career to entertain readers with a refreshing, new and creative approach to storytelling.

"Angel's Return Home" is the author's most recent novel. The story is based in Asheville, NC, featuring an encounter with the Ghost of epic American writer Thomas Wolfe.

"Long Walk Home" ...a love story of young farm 'family' left behind , torn apart by Civil War, and their infantry soldier's trek. This captivating story, based upon extensive historical research and true events, is the author's first novel.

James Funk's career spans over 45 years, since completing undergraduate education in electrical engineering at Northwestern University, and a master's degree in business at Stanford University.

Experience includes executive in the automotive industry with Ford Motor Company, and builder and restorer of residential homes. He has been a golf course owner, builder, and operator.

Jim and his wife, Marilyn, reside in Palm Harbor, FL and Asheville, NC.
