Perrin Ireland is the author of two books of literary fiction: "Chatter," Algonquin Books (New York Times Book Review: “this humor terror nexus that Ireland so charmingly brings to life”), "Ana Imagined," Graywolf Press (Minneapolis Star Tribune: “a brilliant debut”) and "The Violently Colored Life: Her Modigliani Pages" Charles Square Press (Kirkus Reviews: "A thoughtful, original historical novel sure to thrill any serious art lover.").
Prior to devoting full-time to writing, Perrin served as Associate Director for Drama and Arts at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and as a senior program officer at the National Endowment for the Arts.
She has an MFA in Writing and Literature from Bennington College, has written literary fiction reviews for the Sunday Boston Globe, published fiction and poetry in AGNI literary magazine, and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
Perrin was Executive Producer of “Spirit to Spirit: Nikki Giovanni,” aired nationally on PBS. She and her husband currently reside in Washington, D.C.
