Calamity Jan, AKA Jan Pierson is an internationally published author of 18 books. Jan holds a degree in psychology and criminal justice from the Evergreen State College and has been a teacher, speaker and presenter in the United States and Europe. She is a former writing instructor with the Institute of Children's Literature and now makes her home in Olympia, Washington.
