Tracy Ryan Terhune

Author Tracy Ryan Terhune has written the definitive book on the memorial service held each year in Hollywood for Rudolph Valentino. The Valentino Memorial Service is the oldest continuing annual event in Hollywood history. Starting on the first anniversary of his passing, it continues uninterrupted to this day.

Terhune employed extensive research, including access to the original Lady In Black's personal files which included hundreds of letters and documents.

He has attended the Valentino Memorial Service since 1996 and since 2006 has been the emcee of the time-honored event held every August 23rd at 12:10pm - the exact time of day that Valentino died.

Tracy Ryan Terhune, along with Stella Grace created a permanent Valentino exhibit at the Hollywood Heritage Museum that sits across the street from the famed Hollywood Bowl. They furnished it by using rare and unique Valentino items from their own collections.

Tracy Ryan Terhune also re-issued the long out of print book "Valentino The Unforgotten" by Roger C. Peterson. This book was issued in 1938 and only a few copies of the book were shipped from the book depository before a fire destroyed all remaining copies. It was never re-printed until Terhune re-published this rare Valentino book. He added a foreword and afterword to add insight about how the book came to be, and fill in details about Roger Peterson and his life. For bringing this book back to the public, he received praise from the son of Roger C. Peterson.

Terhune is also a historian and collector of Rudolph Valentino
